Bologna Hosts Scientology Volunteer Ministers Exhibition

Bologna Welcomes the Scientology Volunteer Ministers Travelling Exhibition Bologna's Piazza Lucio Dalla is hosting the travelling yellow tent of the Volunteer Ministers of Scientology, as part of a travelling programme visiting Italian cities. Approximately 100 guests were present for the opening, including local officials and community representatives. Among them was Pianoro Mayor Luca Vecchiettini, who spoke news europe today about the relationship established with the volunteers after severe flooding in 2024. Restaurateur Fabrizio Lazzarini also described how volunteers helped clear his mud-covered restaurant. Andrea Ferrarini, formerly involved with civil protection in Bondeno, recalled Volunteer Ministers helping communities following the 2012 Emilia earthquake. The Volunteer Ministers programme was established in 1976 by L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology, the programme provides practical methods for addressing everyday difficulties as well as assistance during emergencies. Inside the Bologna tent, visitors can see displays about humanitarian work and practical assistance while learning about methods addressing communication, education, relationships and everyday challenges. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, described the Bologna initiative as a reflection of the role citizens can play in strengthening their communities. The Bologna exhibition highlights a programme that operates both in times of disaster and in everyday community life.
